Thunderbird Beaded Necklace

Beautifully hand-crafted Vintage Native American beaded necklace. Vibrantly colored seed beads Peyote stitched together to create this beautiful heirloom Thunderbird regalia necklace. Approximately 16 inches long when laid flat, half inch wide band with one inch by two and three quarters inch black field featuring 1 1/4 inch x 7/8 inch white and green Thunderbird. Beautiful arrow and geometric pictographs adorn the band.

 I traded with a Grandmother from the O'odham nation, this and a Rosette Beaded Necklace for one of my ultrathin hair pipe chokers for her granddaughter's birthday present. She said they were made by her Tonto friend around thirty years ago, so I assume she meant this was made by a Tonto Apache woman she knows.
