Eti̠huupi - Nʉmʉ Tekwapʉ̠ (Comanche), meaning "Wood"

! THIS IS NOT A WAKHANLA HANDMADE PIECE - IT WAS GIFTED TO ME AND I REFURBISHED IT ONLY AND ADDED TURQUOISE - IT IS A MASS PRODUCED ITEM BY AN UNKNOWN MAKER THAT CLAIMS IT IS BUFFALO BONE, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE WOOD TO ME - THE HIGHER PRICE OF THIS PARTICULAR PIECE vs THE KIND YOU CAN GET OFF OF EBAY AND ETSY IS DUE TO THE RARITY OF THE TURQUOISE I ADDED. !

Native American inspired 4 row choker held together with artificial sinew (upgraded from string when refurbished) combines 2" carved wood hair pipe,1/2" burnished bone hair pipe, real Natural "Sleeping Beauty" Arizona Turquoise (increasingly rare as the mine shut down in 2012- luckily, I live here, so it's a little easier to find if you have O'odham or Yaqui friends), What appears to be Sterling silver clamp beads that have not been crimped (I am not sure on this one as I did not make this- I took it apart and fixed it only and added the turquoise and scorched the bone, and replaced the leather ties), carved wooden spacers stained a deep Grizzly Brown to match the leather end pieces, with tobacco brown suede ties to match the wood pieces.

If you notice a mistake in your choker, don't worry - it is intentional. This is sometimes called a spirit bead and is an intentional mistake to honor Creator as being the only perfect creator. It echoes the lesson that there is beauty in imperfection, and often times imperfection is the source of a thing's beauty. All of our handmade items contain a Spirit bead or other intentional imperfection.
