Paaunai - Nʉmʉ Tekwapʉ̠ (Comanche) meaning "Foreigner"

The traditional style 4 row choker incorporates a distinctly Dineh (SKA Navajo) look with its antique silver (There are upcycled solid silver earrings That the posts had broken off. rather than melt them down, the owner gifted them to me. I immediately saw good deisng potential, but wasn't sure how to execute it. I endedup drilling 5 small holes through them so that The beads could be strung in around them, as well as drilling extra holes in the spacers that frame the center.  This comprised of elk bone 1/4" ultrathin hair pipes and spacers, 4mm sterling silver, red coral, and natural Arizona turquoise (From the Sleeping Beauty mine - known for its vivid color and few lines), and turquoise dyed deer suede. The focal point is a stunning solid sterling silver arrowhead inlaid with turquoise and red coral. The ultrathin hair pipes and small beads make this a delicate and dainty choker, perfect for accentuating a woman's neckline.
Encased in our signature glass windowed blue velvet case, this exquisite choker looks as good in the box as it does on your neck. 12.75" in length from suede endpiece to endpiece.

Please include your neck circumference when ordering - this can be measured by wrapping a string tightly around your neck and holding it at the point where the end meets the other end of the string, and laying it on a ruler.

*If item shows out of stock, this same style will be handmade to order, so don't hesitate to purchase - it might take a little longer to deliver, depending on components in stock. We can also customize your choker to fit your own personality, totem, clan, or power color (or even the colors of your nation's flag). Custom from scratch chokers are also available by emailing wakhanla@engravedadornments.com to discuss your design with Aiʔmiʔa Arʉka (Loping Deer)*

If you notice a mistake in your choker, don't worry - it is intentional. This is sometimes called a spirit bead and is an intentional mistake to honor Creator as being the only perfect creator. It echoes the lesson that there is beauty in imperfection, and often times imperfection is the source of a thing's beauty. All of our handmade items contain a Spirit bead or other intentional imperfection.
